Welcome to the New illinoishsfootball.com
Big things come from small enrollments.
This site started in 2001 as a volunteer-run community hub for Illinois small-school football — the 1A and 2A programs the major papers rarely covered. It ran for about a year before the domain lapsed. It’s back now, rebuilt for 2026: still focused on small-school football, but the weekly rankings, recaps, and previews are now assembled automatically from official IHSA sources (the Illinois Media Poll rankings and the per-class schedule & scores pages) each week during the season, rather than depending on one person finding time to post.
Full box scores, forum debates, and live chat live on our Facebook Page now instead of on-site — follow along there for the day-to-day conversation. This site is the record: rankings, recaps, and the archive.
First real weekly digest goes up once the season starts.
