About

illinoishsfootball.com covers Illinois small-school (1A–3A) high school football — the programs the big statewide outlets usually skip. It started as a volunteer-run community site in 2001 and is back now in a lower-maintenance form: weekly rankings, recaps, and previews are assembled automatically each week during the season from official IHSA sources (the Illinois Media Poll rankings and the per-class schedule & scores pages), then reviewed before publishing.

Day-to-day discussion, scores as they happen, and community talk live on our Facebook Page — this site is the record: the rankings, the recaps, and the archive.
